Have you ever felt like you live a double life in a Desi/Brown household? Have you ever felt like you had to keep parts of your life private because certain topics are just too taboo in the community to talk about? Yeah me too, I have felt all that and much more. So with that, I invite you to venture out with me, Seher, into my own little world where you and I will be reliving some of my life experiences that I have kept a secret for so long. Hopefully, through this journey, we can unpack and explore topics such as dating, sex before marriage, the concept of “what will people say?”, abusive relationships, gender stereotypes, mental health, and much more.
